Cordoba, Argentina is renowned as dove hunting’s mecca, owing to the estimated 20 million resident eared doves that annually wreak havoc on the region’s rich agricultural expanse. When you visit Cordoba, it is your enviable task to do your part in protecting the region’s crop yield; but it is Trek’s responsibility to handle everything else to make your adventure outstanding.

Sierra Verde Lodge is the ideal place to spend your evenings while in Cordoba, relaxing and refueling for another day of relentless shooting. Our clients often remark that Sierra Verde feels like a home away from home, and at the same time unlike any other place they’ve ever been. Throughout this boutique property, you’ll find many of the signature touches of Trek’s Cordoba partners, H&H Outfitters: from the outdoor firepit and swimming pool, to the indoor hot tub and meticulously decorated interior that gives Sierra Verde the feel of a hunting lodge anda five-star hotel.

As with all of Trek’s Cordoba properties, Sierra Verde is in high demand each year with returning clients. So, please let us know at the earliest if you’d like for us to secure dates for you. Our travel professionals are here to help you plan the adventure of a lifetime.

This is a seven day, six night Argentina Cordoba dove hunting trip that offers you three full and two half days of high volume shooting, as well as a new two full and two half days option. Your trip begins on an overnight flight from The US, arriving in Cordoba the following day. Upon your arrival into Cordoba, the staff of H&H Outfitters will assist you with your gun clearance and transfer you to your corresponding lodge. After introductions and lunch, we will head out for an afternoon hunt. We shoot until late afternoon, and then return to the lodge for a hot shower and a drink before dinner. The next three days are full hunting days with asados (local barbecue) in the fields each day. On the last day, you will have a morning hunt and settle up before saying your goodbyes, followed by a transfer to your return afternoon flight that will connect you to an overnight flight home to The States.

With huge tracts of agriculture and few known predators, the dove population in Cordoba  has exploded and continues to do so. The South American eared dove is similar in size and appearance to the North American mourning dove, except the eared dove has a shorter tail. But the chief difference between the two is the eared dove’s pattern of flying the entire day, which allows us to hunt all day even in inclement weather. Argentina Cordoba dove hunting is simply the best in the world.

This is a shotgunner’s dream and it is not uncommon to shoot 3-4 cases of shells per day and more. A typical hunting day starts with a wake-up call around 7:00 am. After a full breakfast, we will load into the vans for the 30-60-minute drive to the field.

The Sierra Verde Lodge is the first lodge built by H&H Outfitters and was recently renovated with a luxurious interior. Featuring seven large bedrooms, other amenities include an outdoor pool, Jacuzzi and sunken fire pit. A magnificent view from the dining room overlooks a manicured 10-acre lawn where many sunsets are enjoyed each evening. Sierra Verde also has professional massage therapists on staff to help you unwind and relax at the end of the day.
